“So do you do this fulltime?”…..

That was the question I asked Matt Wagner, a legend in the industry. Needless to say, it was the ice breaker I needed as a newbie to the event

Office Supplies – The Comic debuted successfully at this year’s SPX held in Bethesda, Maryland. Our official identity was “Mugshot” which was received very well . So much so, that we’ve gotten followup requests to open up an online swag store which is in the works.

We shared table space with both Matt Wagner and John Hankiewicz – who was nominated for an Ignatz Award for Asthma so it was amazing absorbing their creativity and getting to know them. It was two days packed with the most exciting indie comics and promising talents on hand. Built a great network and got tons of great leads for taking Office Supplies further through grant applications and interviews.

Overall, it was a very rewarding and great learning experience, and we’ll be setting up booth at a couple more expos next year…..
